CEO - Grant Gargano
Grant currently holds a Masters in Management from MGSM in Sydney
and is a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Prior to joining Ultraclean Grant held various positions
within Gosfern Pty Ltd over a 12 year period and has worked as a consultant
on various renewable energy projects. Grant has a background in Business
Development where he initiated contracts and agreements with companies
in the US, South America, Europe and Australia in various energy related
projects. Most recently Grant headed their petroleum division where
he successfully oversaw the development and commercialization of Gosfern’s
proprietary MERU technology.
Non-Executive Chairman - Mark
Mackrell
Mark is a partner at Sydney law firm Norton White and practices in
aviation law representing airlines, aviation operators and aviation
underwriters. Mark also has extensive experience in Trade Practices,
Product Liability and Intellectual Property issues. Earlier in his
career, he practised at the New South Wales Bar, prior to which he
was an Associate to a Judge of the High Court of Australia. He has
a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from the Australian National University
(1974) and has been admitted as a solicitor in New South Wales, Victoria
and the Australian Capital Territory.
Finance Director - David Hancock
David Hancock had over 25 years experience in the credit industry
in both listed and unlisted companies such as David Jones and Burns
Philip, including as a founder of George Laurens, which was later floated
as Credit Corp. David has also had involvement in the chemical industry
as a financier of major Chinese chemical company projects, arranging
funding from prominent banks in Germany. He spent two years in China.
David is a member of FBAA (Finance Brokers Association
of Australia ), and COSL (Credit Ombudsman Service Limited) and a
senior associate of the AIMB (Australian Institute of Mortgage Brokers).
David was previously an Associate of the Institute of Credit Management
(AICM) and an Associate of the Australian Credit Forum (AACF). David
was vice-president for many years of both these institutes.
Technical Director - Gordon
Gargano
Gordon is an Automatic Control and Safety System Applications designer
using both Electronic and Computer based hardware. He has had a vast
experience in developing design concepts and application of Control
and Safety Automation. Gordon started his career in the Royal Australian
Army Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Corps, after which he started
his civilian career as an Instrumentation and Control System Commissioning
Technician.
His first major assignment was at the Gladstone Power
Station some 30 years ago where he was a Commissioning Technician/Engineer
for the power plants boilers, specifically the advanced Boiler Automatic
Control Systems and Burner Management Systems.
After commissioning steam plants in diverse industries
both in Australia and internationally, Gordon became the Field Services
Manager for Forney Australasia, an Australian subsidiary of Foster
Wheeler, a large multi-national corporation. After being in that position
for several years, he was elevated to the position of Design Engineering
Manager for the same company and continued working for ten years for
Forney Australasia prior to the formation of Gosfern Pty. Ltd. as
a result of a Management buyout of Forney Australasia, of which Gordon
became a founding partner and Director.
Gordon has designed Safety and Automation Control
systems in industries such as Power, Pulp and Paper, Refineries, Off-Shore
Oil and Gas and Steel.
Gordon is considered in the process industry as a
Safety Systems Expert and was invited to join the Exida International
Safety Advisory Board as an adviser on process safety and standards.
This board is responsible for setting standards and examinations to
enable Safety System Designers and engineers involved with plant safety,
to gain the international accreditation of CFSE (Certified Functional
Safety Expert). Gordon was a founding member and director of Gosfern
Pty. Ltd. and was in this role for 17 years prior to joining Ultraclean.
His main role at Gosfern was as general manager where one of his
primary functions was as a technical advisor ensuring that the company
was actively continuing to search for the most effective and advanced
technologies, a role which he continues for Ultraclean.
Non-Executive
Director - Peter Moran
Peter is widely travelled and his professional background includes
Metallurgical Consultancy, Law and the Merchant Marine.
Prior to joining Ultraclean as a founding director, Peter served as
a director of Gosfern for 11 years, which included 6 years based in
the UK, running Gosfern’s European operations.
Non-Executive Director - David
Lees
David Lees is a qualified chartered accountant with many years’
experience in the public company arena and with strat-up and early
stage companies. He has been a founding director of several public
companies (such as Medeva PLC, Skyepharma PLC, Names.co Internet PLC)
and a director of many other successful companies. He is currently
a director of Triple Plate Junction PLC, Rift Oil PLC, Metis Biotechnologies
PLC, Network Estates Limited and Accident Exchange PLC.
Non-Executive Director - Curtis
Samford
Curtis holds a Bachelor of Science-Geophysics degree from Texas A&M
University.
Curtis currently serves as a Vice President of A.M.
Castle & Company and President of Castle Metals Oil & Gas.
Mr. Samford served since 2005 as Vice President-Oil & Gas and
Vice President-Marketing of Alcoa Wheel Products. Alcoa Inc., is the
world's leading producer of primary aluminum, fabricated aluminum
and alumina facilities and serves the aerospace, automotive, packaging,
building and construction, commercial transportation, and industrial
markets. Prior to joining Alcoa, Inc. in 2005, he was Vice President
Commercial Operations at UniPure Corporation, and from 1988 to 2001
he held several management positions at Shell Chemical, Betz Industrial
and Dresser Atlas
Non-Executive Director - John
Montgomerie
John Montgomerie is a Chartered Accountant and until December 2007
was a partner/Director at William Buck an accounting firm with over
80 employees. John has been involved in various listed and unlisted
companies including as a director, shareholder and founder. John maintains
interests in companies primarily in the environmental sector, although
his previous involvement has involved companies from a diverse range
of industries such as electronics, IT and construction.
